Mekos Laboratories AS
Mekos Laboratories were established on 1st January 2001 by a management buyout of the Pharmacia and Upjohn facility in Denmark. The purchase included the global business and all other asses relating to the patented TRUE Test® patch test system for the diagnosis of Type 4 allergic contact dermatitis. TRUE Test® was invented by Prof. Torkel Fischer in Sweden and developed by him and Pharmacia/Mekos.
Mekos' mission is to make a major contribution to the development of improved patch testing procedures with improved and standardised patch test materials. The objective is to improve the quality of life for the increasing number of contact allergic patients worldwide.
